5 Summer Spritzer Recipes to Quench Your Thirst

The summer heat is on and you’re thirsty for an alcoholic beverage. Summer Spritzers are ideal drinks to make on long hot summer afternoons, when friends drop in or when enjoying aperitivo hour or cinq a sept.

We’ve mentioned the recent popularity of spritzers on the cocktail scene and their appeal for being light in alcohol and carbonated for refreshment. Here are 5 easy summer spritzer recipes to enjoy at home as shown above from left to right:

1. Lillet Vive

Lillet Blanc is not just an integral ingredient of the Vesper Martini. The French aperitif can be enjoyed neat and in the signature Lillet Vive drink. Just add seasonal fruit, a spig of mint, good tonic water and plenty of ice. Get the recipe for Lillet Vive here.

2. Martini Rosato Spritz

3. Choya Umeshu Spritzer

Choya Umeshu is a Japanese liqueur made from unripe green plums (Ume) which are steeped in Shochu and sugar. Light and fruity, it lends itself well to a spritzer style of drink. Just top Choya Umeshu with soda water (or a very dry sparkling wine) and garnish with a slice of plum.

4. Regal Rogue Wild Rosé Spritzer

From Regal Rogue vermouth‘s newest additions, the Wild Rosé is an aperitif style vermouth with tropical fruit and spice notes that goes well in a Spritzer. Simply top with sparkling wine and garnish with a lemon wedge and a sprig of mint.

5. St-Germain Cocktail
