Comments: Penny Blue XO Batch #2 is a most enjoyable sipping rum particularly if you don’t like your rums sweet and syrupy. There is a good balance of tropical fruit, caramel and oak which linger beautifully across the palate. Dave Broom calls it a “whisky drinker’s rum”. It’s complex and layered, and at $90, it’s good value for money. Sip it with dessert or in good company after dinner.
