Nant Distilling Company has launched its first international Nant Whisky Bar at Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The first Nant Whisky Bar in Asia is set within a hotel in a rainforest in Kuala Kuala Lumpur’s western suburbs and much like its counterparts in Brisbane and Melbourne with Sydney to follow, customers can taste their way through the single malt expressions and well as store their own bottles of “liquid gold”.
For those new to the Tasmania Highlands single malt, the Nant Trilogy offers a flight of three Nant expressions: Nant Sherry Wood, Nant American Oak Bourbon Wood and Nant French Oak Port Wood.
Cocktails are predominantly based on classics such as the Orange Old Fashioned with Nant American Oak Sherry Cask Whisky, fresh muddled orange, sugar and Angostura bitters; Sazerac with Nant Sherry Cask Whisky with Cognac, Angostura Bitters and a rinse of absinthe and Blood and Sand with Nant Sherry Cask Single Malt, sweet vermouth and orange juice.
The distillery has appointed its own bar manager, Pricilla Collar, for an authentic Nant experience for fans of the whisky. Regular masterclasses and tasting are held at the bar as well as the occasional whisky tasting dinners.
The next international Nant bar is planned for Hong Kong, followed by London.
