Gin Rickey Recipe

The Gin Rickey is an easy three ingredient drink that is a refreshing combination of gin, fresh lime juice and soda.

Gin Rickey

The Gin Rickey is related to the Gimlet, another gin-based cocktail with the difference being that the former has no sugar or any sweetener. Also known as the Lime Rickey, the tall drink is built in a highball glass over ice cubes and works well with a London dry or a citrus-forward gin.

If you’re looking for a low calorie drink with no sugar, the Gin Rickey makes a healthier alternative to a Gin and Tonic.

Gin Rickey Recipe

  • 60 ml gin
  • 20 ml fresh lime juice
  • soda water to top

Glass: highball
Garnish: lime wheel on rim or wedge in glass

In a tall glass, build the drink by adding gin, lime juice and ice cubes. Top with soda water, stir gently and garnish with a lime wheel.
