There’s always a guest (or two) at Christmas who likes their cocktails strong and boozy, regardless of the heat or the time of day.
Bob Roy is an Aussie take on the Rob Roy made with the excellent Starward Whisky Wine Cask, Maidenii Sweet Vermouth, both from Victoria, and Australian Bitters Company Aromatic Bitters. Drop a single plump cherry in the glass and Bob’s your uncle.
Australian Christmas Cocktails: Bob Roy
Ingredients
- 30 ml of Starward Whisky Wine Cask
- 20 ml Maidenii Sweet Vermouth
- 3 dashes of Australian Bitters Company Aromatic Bitters
Glassware: Nick and Nora glass or cocktail glass
Garnish: brandied cherry
Method
In a mixing glass, add the whisky, sweet vermouth and bitters and add ice. Stir then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Add a whole stemless cherry to the bottom of the glass as garnish.
